I guess this is another rant - I’m not at the point where I need meds (close), but I need to vent... There are a few things that tilt me at the table:
Odours
Breath
So I have one of those super noses and I get grossed out by foul smells (to the point of gagging). There is this regular who plays at the Boulevard (a known donk) and I sat beside him in a tournament a month ago.I was super happy to see him at my table until I actually sat down beside him and he opened his mouth... OH MY GOD... words cannot express his breath – it was like a punch in the head, I immediately gagged in his face and tried to cover it up as morning sickness...’Wow I feel sick – I wonder if I’m pregnant again’ were my exact words (he looked at my midsection and nodded - yes, I’m now on a diet)...We were 11 handed so he was breathing down my neck the entire time.Buddy to my right was chewing gum so I asked him for a piece and then quietly asked him to offer a piece to Foul mouth on my left.Thankfully he took it – ‘Minty garbage mouth’ was less offensive for sure. I can count a few times where I’ve had garlic breath at the table (and a few silent but deadly burps), but I am the first to apologize for my foul, and eat mints/gum by the packet the entire time...
Body
April enjoyed playing cards at an early age, crib being one of her favorites. In 2004 she started playing Blackjack regularly. Her foray into poker started in 2005 where she was chosen to play on tv’s first reality poker show – Calvin Ayre’s Wildcard Poker show (FOX Sports). It would be nice if people regarded poker as being stuck in a crowded elevator for hours on end – we are in close proximity of each other people!! Shower, bathe, use deodorant, a ‘dab’ of cologne/perfume whatever – but smell good (or at least ‘attempt’ to smell good). April Facey poker profil. Zadnje informacije, zmage in galerija.

It would be nice if people regarded poker as being stuck in a crowded elevator for hours on end – we are in close proximity of each other people!! Shower, bathe, use deodorant, a ‘dab’ of cologne/perfume whatever – but smell good (or at least ‘attempt’ to smell good)... I know some cash players have marathon sessions, but if you do that kind of thing, prepare! Bring deodorant, a new shirt perhaps (maybe even fresh underwear!!)...If you’ve ever walked into a poker room first thing in the morning you know what I’m talking about!
Poker personality and fellow Canadian Adam Schwartz first alerted the poker community to the report in a tweet. A couple days later, Canadian poker player April Facey began tweeting a picture of Booth in the missing truck. According to the tweet, Facey obtained the photo from Booth’s sister and that the truck has not been found either.
Food
Two words – DEAD DUCK... Are you kidding me!!! We don`t all like the same food, so some food smells actually gross people out.I`m personally not a fan of the `dead duck` (I don`t want to see it, nor smell it). Tournament players generally don`t eat at the table so I`m lucky – but when I have played cash I have actually had to leave the table whilst someone mows down on a beak or two.Dinner breaks are given – take them and if you`re one of those players who wears a Depends (can`t leave your seat), eat something benign and un-offensive...
I know we`re all poker players and in it for ourselves, but don`t be low-geine when it comes to hygiene, think of your neighbour!!
Smell good while felting them!! J

About us:
April Facey ‘Poker Facey’
April Facey Poker Game
April first started playing poker early in 2006 as a contestant on the first Poker Reality Show – Calvin Ayre, Wildcard Poker (Fox Sports). The format was sit-n-go style and included 2 pro’s, 2 celebrities and 4 average Joe’s at each table. Upon arriving to Costa Rica – April immediately played day 1, and wasn’t sure if a flush beat a straight... After a brutal first table (first out), April learned quickly (thanks to tips from Humberto Brenes and Vanessa Rousso), and ended heads-up in the consolation round for a seat at the final table with such notables as Daniel Negreanu, Michael Mizrachi, David Williams and Evelyn Ng (First prize was $750K). Unfortunately April lost, but developed a new passion for poker.
Since 2006, April has played in several tournaments ranging from $30 tournaments to the World Series of Poker. Her first big win weekend was in 2007 when she came 26th in the Johnny Chan main event and won the bad beat jackpot the very next day while playing a cash game. She has came in first and cashed in many tournaments including several Wednesday and Saturday events at the River Rock and Boulevard Casinos. Her latest win this year was chopping 1st and 2nd in the Geroy Simon Celebrity Poker tournament.April is fortunate enough to have an awesome backer (in case he reads this emphasis on ‘awesome’) and plays when she can – her goal is to win a BIG event this next year...
Jenn Assu
Jenn Assu learned to play poker from her father when she was a young girl. She hit her first poker room in 2002 to play the 6/12 limit game at Boulevard Casino….No limit followed shortly after and that was it, Jenn was hooked. Jenn has being turning heads on the poker scene and to date her largest win has been the Woman’s Poker Classic in 2008, where she won the Ladies Limit Event for $12,500.00. The very next day she went on to place 6th in the No Limit Shoot Out for $4,000.00. She also placed 6th in the LIPS Poker Queen Championship in 2008 in Las Vegas. Jenn prefers tournament fields that are not ladies only and knows a big win is right around the corner.
Jenn’s poker career is just beginning to boom, she has recently made it to the 2nd level of audition for the Poker Stars for the Big Game next season after qualifying online. Poker is where her passion lies, Jenn works extremely hard on her game and takes it very serious. She is a competitive person, so when she sets out to do something she wants to be the best at it.
April and Jenn are opposites in many ways on and off the poker table - follow our journey to find out...
